He's finally HERE! After thinking about this sock for so long, we estimated about 6 months, we finally have PUKIE THE CLOWN!
Now for those of you who don't know, or those of you who don't CrossFit, Pukie the Clown is a metaphor. A metaphor for when you work out so hard, with such an intensity, your body vomits. In a sense, you meet Pukie. As a budding wimp
Now if you're really intense, you'll meet his Uncle Rhabdo.
Uncle Rhabdo
Now Uncle Rhabdo originates from a different breed of CrossFit WOD- a WOD challenging you to work so hard, your organs fall out. (Sounds perfectly healthy if you ask me).
Our socks are funny! Our socks have sole protection and arch support! How funny would it be if you gave one of your friends the honorary Pukie the Clown socks, when they puke as a beginning CrossFitter?
Hey everyone! We put more of our great styles, now in different colors! First we had the Ultimate CrossFit Grenade Socks in Black and White, now we have them in Army Green and Red. Our one of a kind Knee-High CrossFit socks come with a ventilator mesh top and Achilles Foot protection.
Now this has an alien/godzilla/lizard feel to it. Definitely almost something relapsed from the 90's, maybe the Godzilla remake movie with Matthew Broderick? It's a good thing that after this, we will have the next sock available, "WODZILLA". Hopefully a whole bunch of CrossFit gyms will go crazy after that :).
Looks familiar, doesn't it?
That's fair game, but don't underestimate these babies. First they Achilles tendon and arch support (check around the gear). And second on the front, you get a little extra padding and breathing, as well as a little Crossfit signature on the toe.
I hope you enjoy our socks and they make your WOD much better, and more fun! How many CrossFit guys would like to see some performance crew socks?
Why do I love these socks so much? I don't know why, I just do. The simplicity of the grenade symbolizes so much. To me, mostly strength.
It's strong. It's Explosive. It's demanding. It's everything I want for a symbol of an athlete: Strength, Agility, Aggression, and Determination.
I did coach swimming for two years at Claremont McKenna College. It's a small private school in sunny Claremont, California and also my home town. While learning as much as I could as an Assistant Coach, I wanted to be more creative and more innovative with the sets I created. As a distance swimmer miler, (I swam the event that requires lap counters and hours of time for all the heats), I was bored. Seriously, what is more boring and challenging than starting practice, and spinning your arms and kicking your legs for two hours STRAIGHT?
The hard question I had to ask myself was, how do I make this interesting? How do I challenge myself to create an innovative practice?
The answer came to me one day: Explosive Training.
So when we went to the 2012 CrossFit Regionals, we did notice a few details about the CrossFit culture and community: it all had to do with edginess. Edginess because the Sport of Fitness is not only a Gym revolution, but also a cultural revolution. With the rebellious spirit against the LA Fitness and cookie cutter Globo-Gyms of the world, CrossFit embraces diversity, individuality, and competing in a futuristic tense.
A facet of the alternative culture we noticed, besides from the heavy metal blaring during the dumbbell snatch event, was the prevalence of tattoos. This links back to the shift about embracing diversity and individuality - these people have it. Within the arena holds a certain and precise enthusiasm, a magic if you will. People have
We thought a Maltese Iron Cross with the words "CrossFit" inside, would be killer. What do you think?
Remind you of West Coast Choppers?
That's the beauty of all of this: we can create whatever we want.

So we knew our Ultimate CrossFit socks look great, but we knew they'd look a lot better in pink. Hundreds of girls ordered our Striped Skull socks, so we thought we'd continue with a pink version of our Original CrossFit Socks.
What makes them so special? It definitely has to do with the pink notches surrounding the heel and front of the foot. The texture and weaving of the sock, around the base of the foot, provides compression support for your Achilles Tendon and sole of the foot.
Memorial Day just passed yesterday and it reminded us about our fallen nation's heroes. I feel proud and grateful of everyone in our military, from
To salute our nation's heroes we've put a few more designs into our production.
Stars and Stripes forever!
Over the past few months, I have sent hundreds and hundreds pairs of socks to military bases. There is a reason they want our socks: they are highly durable.
Meet Sergeant Pain
Also if you take notice, check out the small notches on the Sergeant Pain sock. If you look on the front of the foot, we have arch support surrounding the base of the sock. This both protects the front of your foot, as well as your sole. Also, on the back (Just below the skull of Sergeant Pain), you can see the same notches. This is our Achilles heel protection, and it wraps around to the front towards the shin as well.

Introduction to our Kettlebell Socks Now check these bad boys out. We know CrossFit people love stripes, but we know they love Kettlebells more. At the So Cal CrossFit regionals, we saw nothing but Kettlebell, Kettlebell, KETTLEBELLS! Being a major part of the workout, and the equipment seen in the gym, the Kettlebell is intrinsic to the CrossFit culture.
Black and Yellow Striped Kettlebell CrossFit Socks
What is a POOD? I started to research about Kettlebells, and a lot of pictures on Google Images came up with the word "Pood". The first idea popped into my head was being 7 and thinking the word POOED was funny. Pood has nothing to do with fecal matter. Well, as a young person of my generation I always consult the most reliable source, wikipedia, when I need to know something. So here is what Wikipedia says about what a POOD is :
Wrapping Up I understand how this applies to a WOD and I think it's a great exercise. It raises your heartrate, works your core, and trains a lot of muscles within your body. No wonder these CrossFit people are in such impeccable shape.
We know the CrossFit games are going to be HUGE this year. Last week, the 2011 CrossFit games were on TV, and a lot of my friends were very confused about the whole workout event. I went to the regionals last week, and man was I impressed. But anyways, we asked ourselves, what would be the coolest, most bitchin' retail socks we could create?
"More Kettlebell" CrossFit Socks
We took the inspiration from this SNL clip:
We hope you like the socks and find them comical. Also, we do know that our socks have the best quality, and are the most comfortable socks I've ever worn.
So we're looking forward to the CrossFit Games and hoping to see everyone compete. We will probably head down there July 13-15 to see everyone from around the world to compete.
I will post videos from the So Cal Regionals soon.

Hey everyone! I'm sure many of you are aware of the many LGBT Pride Festivals throughout the country coming up in May and June. There are huge parties in NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Springs, and other major cities. Well, we've recognized the huge demand for all things RAINBOW!
The Ultimate Rainbow Socks
The President of the United States Barack Obama just voiced his opinion and support for marriage equality and gay rights, now it's time to show your support!
The CrossFit Southern California Regionals will be taking place basically down the street from where we work, at the Pomona Fairplex from Friday May 11-13. We've decided to go down to the Regionals for a few reasons:
To understand and learn more about the CrossFit culture and community
To watch the Top 60 Men and Women CrossFitters compete
To have a good time!
CrossFit Games Regional
Furthermore, we are gearing up for the CrossFit games in July 13-15. We have prepared a large order, and I mean a LARGE order of CrossFit socks to be ready for the CrossFit Games. Personally, this will be my first CrossFit event, so I will be very excited. I plan on bringing my camera, (or my Iphone 4S and yell at Siri to take pictures for me). Hopefully, I will see our collection of our signature CrossFit socks from Amazon on some of the athletes feet/calves.
So that's it! I hope to see everyone there at the Regionals! It's looking to be like an intense but fun event. Hope to see you all there!

Now these socks were inspired by Roller Derby Girls. With so much to inspire us, we noticed a commonality between CrossFit chicks and Rolly Derby Gals- they're tough. And so are our socks. Don't be afraid to check out our socks on Amazon.
He's awesome. He's bad ass. He's a little skull man with a military hat on. He's SERGEANT PAIN! Sergeant Pain likes to do Squats. He likes Muscle Ups, Deadlifts, Kettlebells, and endless Burpees. These socks are meant to show that you like pain, but you also like to win. Check us out on Amazon
She's Britney. She's that girl who complains too much about working out. She's not very tough. She's the one who cries all the time about being over weight, but doesn't do anything about it. She's the girl on MTV's made, who runs for five minutes and cries. That's who's she's supposed to be. That Girl.
We've decided something as of late. The opportunities are endless for us. The opportunities are endless for CrossFit. We stumbled upon an idea, a movement, a new way of life. A new direction- we're going full board with these CrossFit Socks.
We especially made these socks for the CrossFit community.
We thought these socks were wacky, hilarious, and attention grabbing. I could just imagine some intense CrossFitters doing deadlifts, with blood running down the Chicken's leg. Intense imagery, I know.
Today I'm going to write about my growing affinity for CrossFit.
1. Pukie the Clown
Now this is hilarious. What better mascot than a clown who works out too hard, projectile vomiting on a gym floor? It's shocking. It's hilarious. It's CrossFit. It summarizes the audacity and pure, a consistent theme throughout all Crossfitters.
And what about the name? Pukie. Are you serious right now?
This thing looks like a jacked/rhoided out version of Krusty the Klown, drinking beer and taking meth.
2. WODs
One day a WOD could be like this: And like this on the next day
Why this is so great you ask? Variety. I feel like when you walk into a CrossFit gym, you don't know what to expect. One day you could be really challenging yourself aerobically and your muscle endurance, then the next day could be pure strength.
3. A new Gym Culture
I used to swim. I actually swam for over 15 years. After graduating school, and giving up my dreams as a professional swimmer, (we all can't be Michael Phelps), I found it difficult to work out. I tried everything.
Lifting. Lifting and cardio. Running. Cycling. Running and cycling. Walking on a high incline for an hour and a half. And to be honest- it's all boring.
Then I saw a video about the CrossFit culture. It's a new way to approach the gym. Instead of lazily walking into the gym, pumping four bench presses, walking for 10 minutes, then hitting the showers, CrossFit engages you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
You are apart of a group. You are apart of something new, and different. No more being a slave to the treadmill. No more working out aimlessly, alone, disconnected.
And the best part about a WOD, it's generally short. But obviously produces results.
4. Unique Gyms
A Unicorn vomiting rainbows on the Hoff?
No gym is the same. They are everywhere. They have their own identity. This is changing the way we approach fitness. Fitness is a sport.
5. Top 10 CrossFit SLOGANS:
1. "Strong people are harder to kill than weak people; and are more useful in general."
The more and more I Google Image Crossfit people, the more tattoos I see. A little more edgier than your average gym goer. I have two tattoos, and plan on getting more. But upon coming from under the needle, applying lotion to my wounds, I realized tattoos give you a sense of identity and self-expression. NO PAIN, NO GAIN!
Also I think it's important to reject norms that don't make sense.
Like running on a treadmill for hours upon hours at low intensity.
